Bedson, Chub (Charles) Milton

It is with great sadness that the family of Chub Bedson announces his sudden passing on August 3, 2017, at the age of 50 years.

Chub will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his children; Jesse James (19), Janelle Rose (15), Jeremy William (13) and their mother Brandi.

Chub will always be remembered by his siblings; Margaret Deem, Harry (Sherri) Bedson, Bill (Roylene) Bedson, Ralph (Brenda) Bedson, Virginia (Tracie) Guidolin and Louise (Lyle) Guidolin. Chub will be forever remembered by many nieces, nephews; Michael (Lynsey), Nicki (Kevin), Joshua (Rylee), Kacey (Aaren), Erin, Trent, Kelton, Calahan, Charlene (Travis), Rianna (Tom), Dallas (Sami); 7 great nieces and nephews. He will be missed dearly by many extended family and friends. Chub was predeceased by his parents, Jim & Susan Bedson and brother in law, Carl Deem.

Chub was born in Castor, Alberta on September 23, 1966. He was the youngest of seven siblings.

Chub attended Brownfield School from grade one to nine and Coronation High School from grades 10-12, graduating in 1984.

After high school, Chub did many jobs; he was employed at Rindal Oilfield Services, Petro Canada, farm hand for Cliff & Willa Suntjens, Ray Suntjens and then Marilyn Murphy, all in the Coronation, Brownfield or Spondin area. He also worked the service rigs. He worked for a lumber company in Cochrane for several years.

Chub had his own bale hauling business, was a member of the Coronation volunteer fire department and curling was his favorite sport.

In 2003, he moved north to Fox Creek and worked for Del-Mac Oilfield Services, Mostowich Lumber and Oilly Mitts Oilfield Services.

Chub moved to the Hanna area in the Spring of 2016 and was employed as a farmer’s hired hand for Walter and Adeline Suntjens.

Chub’s handle-bar mustache, and long mullet hair, was his trademark. He was an outdoorsman; hunting was an ultimate favorite of his to do. He was a natural born dancer, loved to listen to music, whistling and singing. Chub was a true cattleman, a great hired hand and was a very dedicated, hard worker.

Chub cherished the last month with his children, branding, fishing, playing cards and farming. Chub’s face always lit up when he spoke of his kids.

He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and infectious laugh and will be greatly missed by all his children, family and friends.

Thank you for all the memories Chub. You were truly a one of a kind.
